Indiana Authors Award Winner Rebecca McKanna will read from her thriller Don't Forget the Girl and talk about how true crime's murky ethical issues inspired the novel. Stick around for a meet-and-greet and book signing with McKanna. Light refreshments will be available.
Rebecca McKanna was born and raised in Iowa. Her short stories have been anthologized in The Best American Mystery Stories 2019 and recognized as distinguished in The Best American Short Stories 2019. Her debut novel, Don’t Forget the Girl, won the 2024 Indiana Authors Award for genre novel and was nominated for a Lambda Literary Award in 2024 for LGBTQ Mystery. Rebecca earned her MFA in creative writing from Purdue University and is an associate professor of English at the University of Indianapolis.
