Program Description

Event Details

Total eclipse of the... SUN! We are just days away from a total solar eclipse across the United States, with the path of totality cutting through Indiana! It will be a long time until this happens again in our state. Bring your entire family to the downtown Mishawaka Library and join WSBT 22 News Meteorologist Lynnette Grant to learn how and why a solar eclipse happens, what makes this one so unique and what you need to know to see the total solar eclipse for yourself! Plus, registrants can participate in a fun and easy solar eclipse simulation activity. All attendees will receive a pair of solar eclipse viewing glasses.

Registration required.

Cancellation Expectations

Due to demand and limitations in space and/or supplies for our programs, we ask that you cancel at least 24 hours in advance to give the chance for other patrons to attend. Failure to cancel your registration or inform a library staff member of your cancellation at least 24 hours in advance may result in a temporary registration block for upcoming programs.

Photo/Video Permission

We often take photographs and video at library events to use in our publications, on our website, social media and/or video sharing platforms. For registered events, by selecting ‘Yes’ under Photo and Video Permission, the library assumes that permission has been given.
For non-registered events, you will have the option to opt out during the event.
